Terms & Conditions
Please review the Terms & Conditions that apply to bookings and purchases.
Last updated 19 August 2026
1. Late Arrival Policy
Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will not be permitted to enter the classroom, to avoid disrupting the class. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to prepare. The class credit for that session will be deducted, treated the same as a no-show (see Section 2).
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before class will be considered Late Cancels, and the corresponding class credits will be deducted. To reschedule to another class on the same day, please arrange this via WhatsApp.
Late cancellations cannot be waived unless a medical certificate dated the same day as the lesson is submitted on the lesson day itself. Applications made after the lesson day, or supported by an attendance certificate or any other reason, will not be accepted.
No-Shows
Booking a class and not attending, without cancelling, is a No-Show and is treated the same as a Late Cancel: the class credits are deducted, no refund, no rebooking. This applies whether or not a cancellation notice was sent after class start time.
3. Liability Waiver Requirement
All students must tick the liability waiver box at the point of payment before a booking is confirmed. The waiver text presented at checkout is set out in full under Waiver and Release of Liability below.
4. Class Schedule & Instructor Changes
Class schedules, types, and instructors may be adjusted based on operational needs. Changes will be notified via email.
5. Personal Belongings
All personal belongings (including but not limited to shoes, clothing, bags, yoga mats, electronic devices and valuables) are brought into the studio and its premises at the member's / participant's own risk. The studio does not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss, theft or damage to personal property, whether items are left in open areas, reception, shoe racks, changing areas, lockers or any other part of the premises, except to the extent that such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Members and participants are advised not to bring valuables to the studio and to ensure that all personal items are kept safely with them at all times.
6. Minimum Class Size
Each PAUSE requires a minimum of 2 guests to proceed.
7. Locations
Your credits may be used across all Beans PAUSE™ locations, currently Yoga Bagel (Sheung Wan) and A Yoga Studio (Wan Chai).
8. Class Arrangement under Adverse Weather
Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above: once the signal is issued, all subsequent classes will be cancelled until further notice.
Black Rainstorm Signal: once the signal is issued, all subsequent classes will be cancelled. A class scheduled to start two hours after the warning is lifted will resume as normal. For example — if the warning is lifted at 5pm, classes at or after 8pm proceed as scheduled, but the class at 7:30pm will still be cancelled.
Typhoon Signal No. 1 / 3, Amber / Red Rainstorm Signal, or Thunderstorm Warning: all classes proceed as usual. For any cancellation within 12 hours of class commencement, credits will be deducted unless medical proof dated the same day is provided.
9. Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable
All payments (trial classes and packages) are final — no refunds or transfers unless specified below. By completing payment you acknowledge and accept this policy.
10. Credits & Class Duration
Sessions are booked using credits. Most 60-minute PAUSEs require 4 credits, and 75-minute PAUSEs require 5 credits. The credits required for any session are always shown clearly at the time of booking.
11. Waitlist Policy
Each class has 4 waitlist spots. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified via email/SMS at least 3 hours before class.
If you decide not to attend, regardless of waitlist status, please cancel your waitlist spot at least 12 hours before class via the app. Cancellations made after notification and within 12 hours of class will be considered Late Cancels.
12. Extension for Special Circumstances
Extensions are only considered for health reasons (e.g. pregnancy or injury) with valid written medical proof (e.g. a doctor's note). No refunds will be issued. Requests must be submitted before the package expires.
Active packages may be transferred to a friend or have their validity extended — only these two arrangements are available under this section; no refunds will be issued.
13. Unauthorized Account Sharing
Sharing accounts or allowing others to use your credits will result in immediate cancellation of remaining credits, without refund or notice.
14. Package Activation Date
Packages take effect from the date of your first booked class (e.g. if your first class is 22 August, the package validity begins on that date). If no class has been booked, the package activates automatically 30 days after the date of purchase.
15. Credit Transfer
If you have unused credits from an expiring package and another active package, you may transfer up to 2 credits to the new package. (The Trial Pass is non-transferable.)
Only active packages can be rolled over — expired packages cannot be rolled over.
16. Right to Refuse Entry or Stop Participation
Beans Wellness and Beans Retreat and its instructors reserve the right to refuse entry, or to stop a student's participation partway through a session, if continuing would compromise the student's safety or the safety of others (for example: a flagged health condition, use of studio equipment without instructor supervision, or visible impairment). This is a safety decision, not a punitive one — where practical the class credit will still be honoured per the Late Arrival / No-Show terms above rather than treated automatically as forfeited.
17. Assumption of Risk
Beans Wellness and Beans Retreat's sessions involve movement, mindful eating and group activity. By booking a session you confirm that you are voluntarily participating and that you are not aware of any medical condition, allergy, or injury that would make participation unsafe. Please tell your instructor of any dietary restriction, allergy, injury, or health condition before the session begins.
18. Waiver and Release of Liability
You acknowledge that physical activity carries inherent risks, and you voluntarily assume those risks by choosing to participate in a Beans Wellness or Beans Retreat session.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in a session you release Beans Wellness and Beans Retreat, its instructors, staff, and the studios hosting the session from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, except where caused by the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Beans Wellness or its staff.
Nothing in this waiver excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Hong Kong law.
This waiver is accepted by making payment — no separate tick-box is required. See Liability Waiver Requirement above.
19. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
20. Changes to These Terms
Beans Wellness and Beans Retreat reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
